Make your loved ones happy by sending them a Christmas Card this season.
It’s that time of year we all look forward to again. Christmas. We remember our loved ones, near and far, and send them messages, cards and little tokens of our appreciation.
In these hectic digital times, modern communication methods tend to take over from the traditional Christmas card. Some of us, however, are still nostalgic for the old paper-filled days. If you’re one of these people, then this is a perfect opportunity to experiment and put a more personal stamp on your Christmas Cards by making them yourself! Let’s be honest, creating your own card, whether it’s a simple little sketch or a splash of colour, it is going to be a lot cheaper than buying one in the shop and much more personal.
So how about creating a reindeer from geometric forms, or playing around with typography and adding your own personal message inside?

Wedding Stationary Set
The text on our invitations has been carefully considered by the KLD team. However this is just a suggestion, the wording on wedding stationary is extremely personal. This can be fully customised to reflect each couple and their ceremony. The wording for the directions and activities card will be individual to each venue and therefore unique to you! Each wedding stationary set has a bespoke monogram where the initials represent the first initial of the names of the couple getting married. These can be used as tags and stamps as well as printed on the invitation.
Full assemble available by the KLD team
Our maps are also created specially for you. They will help guide guests to the chosen venues on your big day. Our maps are fully designed to represent the journey for your guests, using coordinates and landmarks to make the journey as easy as possible for them. The icons we use to mark the locations on the map can also be designed specially for you, like having the exact car on the map to match the car collecting you on the day.
Our range of template options include rustic, vintage and contemporary monochrome sets. We can work to your desired aesthetic. To see more of our Wedding Stationary designs please check out our website…
The newly produced Ecocem Next Generation Cement bags ready to be shipped off to retailers
Kingston Lafferty Design have been very busy of late, working on the secret branding project for Ecocem’s Next Generation Bagged Cement which has been officially launched today in their new cement bagging plant in Dublin Port, by Minister Brian Hayes. This has been a very exciting job to be part of and has been a working progress for over the past year. We have worked on some branding and graphic design items for Ecocem in the past but this new product required us to create an entire new identity for the brand. Stemming from the original Ecocem logo, we developed a strong new identity for the bagged cement product that will stand out in the retail market and will be clearly recognisable to buyers and suppliers throughout Ireland and England. Our design role involved designing the cement bag itself. This was the key to the overall branding. Further to this, we designed the Silos that are located at the cement plant, and all of the other marketing and sales material including, product data sheets, a4 folders, invitations, flyers and branded clothing, pens and mugs. The bagging has now started production and our bags can be found stacked high on pallets in the bagging plant. Keep an eye out in your local hardware stores in the coming months to see them!

The finished Ecocem, Next Generation Cement bag photoshoot
Here are some of our shots from our photo shoot of our graphics and branding design for One cafe. This was a branding project for new cafe One in, Dublin. One specialises in gourmet, organic produce, with emphasis on high quality, rustic ingredients. We wanted to carry their philosophy through to their branding, and create simple, rustic labels, menus, cards and logo, that compliment the handmade food.
Poppy & Parlour is another part of what I have been up to. Set up also with Susanna Kingston, Poppy & Parlour focuses on offering bespoke design ideas ranging from wedding stationary, event styling, gift ideas, personal boxes, event organisation and invitation design. Here are some of our wedding stationary options. This set is based on a vintage theme. We were inspired by vintage maps and postcards, black and white, antique sketches and decorative, ornate fonts and embellishments. Our designs are bespoke to each project and can cover every genre.
Its been a while since I updated this with all the work that I have been doing. Whilst working on the ez cube for emission zero I was also working as part of Kingston Lafferty Design on graphics for them, including a corporate booklet for clients and colleagues. I wanted to create an exciting brochure that was clean, easy to read without being too corporate and boring. I went with their existing website and used their existing logo to create a bright and exciting design.
