Floral Inspiration: Ranunculus

Time for a little more floral inspiration and this time we’re looking at the beautifully, delicate ranunculus.

This flower is part of the buttercup family and the delicate, blush tones of  pink and peach has us thinking of beautifully soft delicate designs.

As we’ve mentioned in our previous floral inspiration posts, nature and the great outdoors are a constant source to us and the spaces we design. There is so much we can take from plants and flowers to inform and inspire our surroundings.

From colour combinations to beautifully composed bouquets, the feel or tone of a floral image can often help to depict the feel we want to create in our homes.

If you’re designing a space in your home it’s really nice to create a mood board of images, tones and textures to portray the style of the space you want to create. The images don’t have to be all literal representations or interiors related, that’s where beautiful floral inspiration can come in – use floral images that depict the feeling or mood of the room you want to create.

In exterior and garden designs painting doors and garden furnishings in soft blush and peach tones will bring a prettiness and will sit wonderfully with garden greens.

Floral Inspiration: Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus may not be a flower but it is one of the prettiest stems for styling and decorating interiors.

It’s a great leaf to bring into your home, not only for it’s beautiful earthy tones and decorative effect, but also because it lasts forever!

This wonderful stem will last for months and months. It requires just a little bit of watering, and although the leaves dry out slightly the look remains just as beautiful and the vibrant green tones brighten any scheme.

From table settings to wall hangings eucalyptus isn’t just a pretty feature in a vase, there are lots of other uses for it.

Floral Inspiration: Hydrangea

Floral inspiration is something we often turn to for our design projects at KLD.

Whether its a client who’s business has a direct relevance to flowers or a client who has a love of all things floral, flowers seem to be a constant source of inspiration to both us and the lovely people we work with.

And with the upcoming series of Super Garden approaching fast, we are thinking all things outdoors and floral ahead of the launch!

Our floral inspiration this week is dedicated to the beautiful hydrangea.

An instant bouquet, just one stem of hydrangea can have so much impact in a space.

They are also an extremely versatile bloom given the array of colours even a single stem can have.

Feeling completely inspired by these beautiful floral specimens this week we are looking to all interiors blush pink and fresh green.
