Instagram – I always have my iPhone on me when I’m working in my art studio and take photos of my work in progress. These are a mix of details of oil paintings, works stacked up drying, my oil paints and art tools and lots of my happy feet spattered with gorgeous wild oil paint colours.

I then either post them to my Instagram feed immediately or edit them later and post. It is a great way of telling the story of my artwork and interacting with people to get a feel of what they like too. I also love taking photos for Instagram of what inspires my work from my travels and life around me, often in the most unexpected places; a crumbling old wall, decaying door, peeling posters, an old fishing boat washed up on the shore and airplane smoke trails in the sky.

Pinterest – Images from my Instagram feed are then added my Pinterest account. This is the perfect place to catalogue my Instagram photos on my Instagram, In My Studio and Playing With Colour pinterest boards. Pinterest is also a wonderful source of art and interior design inspiration and a brilliant virtual space to collect images and make mood boards.

Facebook – My Facebook page is my news page where I share my latest blog posts and information about my upcoming exhibitions. It is also where I share other news and ideas from interior designers and interior bloggers I love.

Twitter – This is where I go for a chat. I have met some lovely bloggers and interior designers in this social space. I also share blogposts and some of my work in progress shots from my studio. I have lots of lists so I can keep up with interior design and art news too.

All four of these social networks work individually and together, they are vital tools in today’s marketplace!
