Mid-Century Inspiration!

What could be more inspiring than the Golden Age of Design ?

This was the decade where designers like Charles and Ray Eames, Gerrit Thomas Rietveld or Hans J. Wegner produced their most widely used furniture pieces but also where mass production emerged. They made functional furniture, objects made from plastics started to emerge, but most importantly pieces were being designed for everyone to use.

These designs have become classics and are still highly sought after. Pieces like the RAR chair and the Shell Chair are still firm favorites with people today.

Thanks to the 50s revival in fashion and design that occurred a few years ago, mid-century inspired designs are now widely available. They have the same classic shapes as the timeless originals but are often softer and more playful with colour, and texture introducing pastel shades of pinks, greens and blues.

We regularly use mid century pieces in our interiors, they add an instant sense of refined style and sophistication to your interior.
