KLD were approached by Irish company Iconic Offices to design their Brickhouse building. The brief was to create a young, dynamic and inspiring work space for businesses within the technology industry, but that also had a sense of creativity at the core of their business.
Iconic offices have in recent years established themselves as a design-led provider of high end, co-working and fully serviced office spaces. The long-term aspiration of the space was to create a space that was visually impactful and inspiring to draw in a mix of creative business, to link creative businesses within one space, fueling creative thinking and heightening productivity. A creativity hub.
As Interior Architects and Designers on this job, KLD were tasked with concepting and designing a three-story office space that was an aspiration and inclusive environment for workers, regardless of role, company or sector.
Akin to this was our role in providing a commercially viable design, in line with a limited design budget, we were tasked with portraying creativity and impact in order to sell space and in turn increase profitability for our client.
In line with the client’s brief for a young, vibrant and creative space, KLD concepted a bold, colourful and dynamic design for the The Brick House. As part of the design process detailed renders of each of the spaces were commissioned by KLD, which in turn could be used by the client to sell the space. On the strength of the proposed design the client had sold all spaces to established creative businesses like Pinterest and Lovin Dublin prior to fit-out completion.
The Iconic Brickhouse won best Commercial Interior at the IDI Awards 2017.
The Iconic Brickhouse design also won best Collaborative Design with Iconic Offices at the IDI Awards 2017.
