Residential
The Ballsbridge Residence was a large residential project completed in 2015. KLD were appointed to manage the project both in terms of interior architecture and interior design.
The brief for this space was to combine two adjoining properties and completely reconfigure the interior space. The project also involved an extension to the rear of the building to create a more contemporary, spacious family home.
Circulation was a key consideration for the project – there needed to be a balance between open family space as well as some more private space for mum and dad to relax in.
Bespoke joinery was another important feature of the Ballsbridge Residence, every room features joinery designed by the KLD team.
In terms of the project overall, the team took a holistic approach to the design. Every decision was considered and discussed to ensure it was the best decision for the client to fit their lifestyle requirements, as well as their aesthetic desires.
KLD combined a mix of styles from different eras to create an exciting aesthetic.
Salvaged vintage pieces, contemporary furniture and lighting, and custom furniture and lighting were combined to achieve a diverse mix.
